Dr Jack Parker (Research Associate) and Dr Shatha Shibib
(Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist) of the ADHD TrAC-S project
attended the Janssen sponsored ‘Shaping Futures in ADHD’ conference in
Manchester. This conference forms part of a series held around the country
inviting multi-disciplinary practitioners involved in the treatment of ADHD.
Chaired by Dr Val Harpin (ADHD TrAC-S project lead), the
event included a number of eminent speakers including Professor Stephen Bazire
(Chief Paharmacist), Dr Puvanendran (Consultant Paediatritian), Dr Philip
Anderton (Management Consultant), and Dr Mirza (Consulatnt Psychiatrist). The
presentations focused around the pharmacological management of ADHD, the needs
and views of service users with ADHD, the association of crime and ADHD, and
substance misuse.
