T4I2017: CALL for Short Communications Now Open (Deadline: 26.05.2017)

We invite those working to use or innovate Assistive Technology and associated services to submit short communications for presentation or as posters for Technology for Independence (T4I 2017).

This year the conference will happen on Friday 15th September as part of the AAATE2017 Congress (11th to 15th Sept. 2017). Visit the website.

In 2016, T4I ran for the first time as a continuation of The Recent Advances in Assistive Technology and Engineering Conference (RAatE). The conference offers AT experts the opportunity to present to a unique, multi-disciplinary audience and the chance to meet and share knowledge with other people working in the field. AT users can share their experiences and wants for new AT.

Submission
This year the T4I board is keen to encourage practitioners and service providers with interesting case reports and service experiences to contribute to the conference. While innovation – research, development or commercially based – of assistive technology or service remain of interest.
This year, we also invite proposals for workshops – 60-90 minute long sessions – for a greater, in-depth presentation and discussion with the audience. In addition to the short communication, proposers for workshops are asked to write no more than 1 side of A4 around what the audience will get from the workshop. We have limited capacity for these and so we anticipate competition will be high. (Deadline for submission: 26.05.2017).
Need inspiration?
Last November we had a great event with 20 talks on Assistive Technology.
Do you want to exhibit?
We will offer exhibition spaces in the hall for £280 (+20% VAT) each. This package includes a table, chair, mains electricity and one exhibitor.
