The Inauguration of THULSI

As part of our international project “a mobile diagnostic and screening toolkit for urban slums settings”, an inauguration event was held in Bangalore, India for the first phase of the toolkit THULSI (Toolkit for Healthy Urban Life in Slums Initiative).

The inauguration marks the commencement of a pilot study, whereby the toolkit will be used to carry out basic health checks for urban slum communities in DJ Halli, a large slum in Bangalore, in close proximity to their homes.  The project is implemented in collaboration with the University of Sheffield, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore Baptist Hospital, e-Health Enablers and Icarus Nova.
